Image Sizes

All images should be uploaded to your image bank and optimized for the web.

Special Features

Intro Slideshow

Intro Background Images can be added under Advanced > Extra Files > Upload New Extra Files… Background and gallery image sizes listed above.

Contact Page Image

To add an image to your contact page, upload a file named contact.jpg to your Image Bank. Contact Page Image size listed above.

Galleries Page Image

To add an image to your galleries page, upload a file named galleries.jpg to your Image Bank. Gallery Page Image size listed above.

Contact and Galleries Page Titles

Titles can be given to the Contact and Gallery pages in the Advanced > Template Settings area.  The titles entered in this area appear on the menu and the title of the page. 

Slideshow Speed

The slideshow speed can be controlled in the Advanced > Template Settings area.  The value entered in this area is in seconds.  If slideshow speed is not defined, the template has a default slideshow speed of 4 seconds. 

Resize Fix

Monroe can be set to resize to fit any browser window size.  The resize setting can be turned on by entering a value of 'true' in the Advanced > Template Settings.  Entering a value of 'false' in the Resize fix field will tell the template to display at it's native size of 1024x768. 

Logo Overlap

If a custom logo file is used, it can be set to overlap the frame.  Set the logo overlap amount in pixels in the Advanced > Template Settings area.  By default, the overlap amount is 0 pixels. 

Frame Type

Monroe has three border or frame types.  The frame type can be set in the Advanced > Template Settings area.  Entering a value of 0 sets the frame type to rectangular, 1 sets the frame type to floral, 2, sets the frame type to wavy. 

Video

To add a video page, upload a video from your Admin panel under: Advanced > Extra Files > Upload New Extra Files... (Videos must be flvs)

Then create a page or sub page in your admin.  In the text area using standard mode, enter 'VIDEO:' plus the name of your video file, then a comma (,), then your text caption.  (ex: VIDEO:my_video.flv,Press the play button to watch my video!)

Redirect

To have a link in your menu or sub menu that redirects to another website, create a page or sub page in your admin with the following text in the text area using standard mode:

REDIRECT:http://www.bigfolio.com

(replace 'http://www.bigfolio.com' with your website URL)

Music

To add songs to your site, upload them from your Admin panel under: Advanced > Extra Files > Upload New Extra Files…

The jukebox will read ID3 tags from MP3 files. Depending on what music player you use, you may have to “Convert ID3 Tags…” before they are uploaded to your site. ID3 version 2.4 is recommended.

Texture

Monroe supports a textured background for the body of your website. the texture needs to be sized around 1400 pixels W x 900 pixels H (doesn't need to be exactly that size but around there).

Upload a texture image from your Admin panel under: Advanced > Extra Files > Upload New Extra Files... the file needs to be named texture.jpg

Full Screen Button

Monroe has the ability to fill the viewing area of a visitor by pressing the full screen button.  To show the full screen button, enter a value of 'true' in the 'Allow fullscreen button' field under Advanced > Template Settings. To hide the full screen button, enter a value of 'false' in the 'Allow fullscreen button' field under Advanced > Template Settings.
